My first dancing memory was one of my early baby ballet lessons when I was only a couple of years old doing ‘good toes, naughty toes’ in my first dance school in Cambridge. Since then I’ve had an avid passion for dance!
In my early dance training I discovered not only that I loved to dance but had a passion for singing and acting too.
At the age of 7 I moved to Leeds and began my dance training at SLP then moved to Ellite studios where I stayed till the age of 16 training in ballet, tap, musical theatre, jazz and modern. By this time I’d achieved all my ISTD grades up to advanced 1 and was lucky enough to gain a scholarship at Yorkshire young musicians where I concentrated on my training in singing.
At this point I took a break from dance to concentrate on my A Levels but could ignore that my heart lay with being able to dance every day, so I applied to do my BA(hons) in Dance at Creative Academy.
This vocational training has given me the opportunity to learn different styles and has helped me grow as a performer giving me a new lease of life to pass this on to the next generation.
I’ve been well travelled and had the opportunity to work in Greece as a dancer as well as dancing in pantomimes in Halifax, Leeds and Harrogate.
Going forward I want to be able to share the joy of being a performer and give students the opportunity to share their creative abilities in the best way possible.
