Connie Chow

Head of Ballet and Modern

I started ballet at the age of 14 and had full time training at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. My major was Ballet, but I also trained in Modern dance and Performing Arts, and attained an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts.

After representing the Academy to perform at the International Dance Festival in Hong Kong, Japan, China and also in Singapore with HK Ballet Group I was thrilled to be chosen to perform with the Paris Opera during the company’s Asia tour.

I received a scholarship from The Anglo Hong Kong Trust to study a Master Postgraduate Degree in Dance at the University of Surrey, UK. At the same time, I had teaching training with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), attained Teaching Diploma (Dist), and was awarded Associate of the Academy ARAD, as well as Associate from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance AISTD and Certificate in Dance Education.

I also taught at the RAD for its fantastic pioneer project, teaching dance movements to special needs children. I am a mentor to RAD Undergraduate students and Supervisor of trainee teachers.

I have vast experience teaching dance to all ages and I’m looking forward to teaching the fresh talent at MPA School.
